Mon Frère by François Gremaud is a personal, poetic, and political play written with and for Gremaud’s deaf brother, Christian.
Our surtitles were fully integrated into the set design of this new play, which is performed in both French and French Sign Language.
Panthea worked closely with the team behind Mon Frère to develop surtitles in French and English that are projected onto an in-set LED screen. After premièring at Vidy-Lausanne, followed by a run at the Festival d’Avignon, the production has now embarked on a months-long tour, exactly the kind for which we developed our portable, modular service, Supertitles Out of the Box.
