Surtitling and accessibility for Lacrima at the Théâtre national de Strasbourg and on tour
Panthea oversaw surtitle design for the première of Lacrima, a new play first performed at the Festival d’Avignon. Members of our team have since accompanied the production as surtitle operators on its international tour. Audiences of Lacrima, which is performed in English and French, have also had access to the various accessibility services developed by Panthea, which they can view on smart glasses or on their own smartphones. This includes sign language translation, surtitles for the deaf and hard-of-hearing, and audio description for blind or visually impaired audience members.
