In 2025, Panthea provided its support in modernising surtitling at three prestigious Viennese institutions.
Three of the most important performing arts venues in Vienna now use our software Spectitular for their surtitling services: the MusikTheater an der Wien, an operatic monument where Mozart and da Ponte made musical history, the Ronacher and the Raimund Theater, all part of the musical theatre group Vereinigte Bühnen Wien (VBW). After a training with Panthea over the summer, the three theaters have successfully integrated Spectitular for their surtitled productions. The Theater an der Wien even offers surtitles on individual screens through our system panthea.live, specially designed for audience members with limited visibility of the main screen.
We are delighted to add that shortly after our training, the MusikTheater an der Wien received the prize for Best Opera House at the International Opera Awards in Athens, one of the highest distinctions in the industry globally. The award is testament to the theatre’s exceptional reputation, its innovations in the performing arts, and the quality of its recent renovation.
