As part of a project with the Théâtre National de Bretagne, our team worked on a new adaptation of Jean Genet’s play Splendid’s, directed by Arthur Nauzyciel, for the video conferencing app, Zoom.
The play, performed in English with French subtitles, was made available to audiences beyond France’s borders thanks to Panthea’s configuration, which combined Spectitular (or [S]) surtitling software with Zoom to extend the possibilities of livestreaming.
Over the course of three dates, more than 1,500 spectators connected and were able to follow the play from all corners of the world; from Senegal to Japan to Australia.
