Installation of an XXL LED surtitling screen to accompany our panthea.live system.
As part of the renovation of the Hamburg State Opera in 2025, Panthea installed a 13-metre-long LED screen above the proscenium, which now forms a state-of-the-art frieze for opera surtitling. This was Panthea’s first project involving a new generation of LED panels built with so-called “GOB” (Glue on Board) technology. LEDs on these panels are embedded directly within resin, providing both higher resolution – in this case, a 1.95 mm pixel pitch – and greater protection. For the Hamburg project, we worked in close collaboration with the engineering firm Bluenode | Panoplan.
We also supplied the opera house with our panthea.live system, complete with 30 dedicated smartphones and use of the surtitling software Spectitular.
