“Tonight, the Comédie Française troupe is performing Macbeth in its legendary Salle Richelieu theater. Or rather, an adaptation of William Shakespeare’s play, with a shortened script and a rather esoteric staging, far removed from the political, fantastical, and bloody drama of an ambitious couple. It is also an opportunity to test the individual surtitling and French Sign Language system broadcast on connected glasses, developed by the Franco-German specialist Panthea and now offered by the Comédie Française for all performances in the Salle Richelieu.”
