On 17 May 2024, the Comédie-Française trialled the panthea.live system, broadcasting surtitles and sign language videos via our smart glasses. The technology allowed deaf, hard-of-hearing, and English-speaking audiences to experience the theatre’s production of Macbeth, with customizable caption text in French or English.
