Panthea Gets Into Berghain

“Liminals”, an installation accessible to Deaf and hard-of-hearing audiences.

Panthea is deploying its cloud-based solution, panthea.live, to enable visitors with hearing impairments to discover the work of artist Pierre Huyghe at Berghain, Berlin’s legendary nightclub.

A Smartphone-Based Accessibility Solution

Combining film, sound, vibrations, and light effects, the installation offers a fully immersive experience. To ensure accessibility, Panthea has implemented a system that delivers real-time descriptions of the sound elements in both German and English, available directly on visitors’ smartphones via a simple QR code scan.

A Renewed Partnership

Initiated by the LAS Art Foundation, Pierre Huyghe’s installation will take over Berghain from 23 January to 8 March 2026. This collaboration marks a new milestone in the partnership between Panthea and the foundation, following a first successful project during Laure Prouvost’s exhibition at Kraftwerk in Berlin.
