Eine au\u00dfergew\u00f6hnliche Mission f\u00fcr Panthea<\/strong><\/h3>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=““ text_direction=“default“]\n
In nur zwei Wochen hat Panthea es geschafft, die \u00dcbertitel f\u00fcr das Musical \u201eThe Last Ship\u201c<\/i> von Sting zu entwickeln, das vom 18. Februar bis zum 8. M\u00e4rz, in La Seine Musicale in Paris aufgef\u00fchrt wurde. Newcastle-Dialekt, nautischer Fachjargon und hohe technische Anforderungen \u2013 Manon Bertrand, \u00dcbersetzerin und \u00dcbertitlerin bei Panthea, schildert uns ihre Erfahrungen in diesem einzigartigen und herausfordernden Projekt.<\/span><\/em><\/h5>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=““ text_direction=“default“]Die \u00dcbersetzung eines Werkes bringt zahlreiche Herausforderungen mit sich \u2013 sehr zur Freude der \u00dcbersetzerin oder des \u00dcbersetzers, die dabei ihr K\u00f6nnen unter Beweis stellen k\u00f6nnen. Ich habe seine Musik immer geh\u00f6rt, sowohl mit <\/span>The Police<\/span><\/i> als auch solo. Dennoch kannte ich weder sein Album <\/span>The Last Ship,<\/span><\/i> noch dessen Adaption als Theaterst\u00fcck (2014) und die sp\u00e4tere Musical-Version. Ich habe also jedes Lied beim \u00dcbersetzen entdeckt. Wie bei jedem Projekt habe ich mich voll und ganz hineingest\u00fcrzt, doch erst beim Betreten der Seine Musicale wurde mir die Dimension dieser Produktion bewusst: ein riesiger Saal, ein beeindruckend realistisches B\u00fchnenbild, gesch\u00e4ftiges Treiben auf der B\u00fchne mit etwa drei\u00dfig K\u00fcnstler*innen \u2026 eine Show auf Broadway-Niveau. Und mittendrin: meine franz\u00f6sischen \u00dcbertitel.<\/span><\/p>\n

Das englische Produktionsteam schien mit dem Ergebnis zufrieden zu sein \u2013 so sehr, dass es schlie\u00dflich auch Sting zu Ohren kam. Daher hatte ich das gro\u00dfe Privileg, ihn pers\u00f6nlich zu treffen. Seine Freundlichkeit und Bescheidenheit haben mich tief beeindruckt. Ihm einfach nur Hallo zu sagen, w\u00e4re schon unglaublich gewesen, aber dass er mich in den Arm nahm und mir f\u00fcr meine Arbeit dankte (die er tats\u00e4chlich gelesen hatte), f\u00fchlte sich an wie ein Moment au\u00dferhalb von Raum und Zeit. Welche Anerkennung k\u00f6nnte sch\u00f6ner sein, als die des Meisters selbst? Ein Panthea-Auftrag, der zu den pr\u00e4gendsten geh\u00f6rt, die ich je erleben durfte.\u201c \u2014 Manon Bertrand, \u00dcbertitlerin bei Panthea.<\/span><\/p>\n
