Here are our latest (exciting!) developments in terms of live performance accessibility.
We have been working very hard with the exceptional team of the NTGent in Belgium in order to offer our very first globally accessible performance.
On March 4th and 5th, audience members with and without visual or hearing impairments will have the opportunity to attend a performance of “Compassie”, a play directed by Milo Rau. They will all be able to understand the play by choosing the medium that best fits their needs from the following list :
· pre-recorded audio description
· pre-recorded sign language videos
· surtitles in foreign languages
· closed captions in French for the deaf and hard-of-hearing
Through our innovation, we are now able to offer all these services simultaneously! Based on this pilot project, we will continue to develop the concept so that each performance can be accessible to a maximum number of spectators, beyond language barriers and disabilities, without increasing the cost of operating the surtitles.
Don’t hesitate to contact us for more information or if you are interested in working on a similar project in your own venue !
